02 · Think of it as a split

Example · £45,000 hire · first-year salary

£5,625 to you.

12.5%

You · your fee · £5,625

7.5%

Dibs · on top · £3,375

The studio pays £9,000 in total, 20%, about what a typical agency charges, on one invoice from Dibs. You keep 12.5% and never had to win the client: about 60/40 in your favour, where a typical split is 50/50.

03 · How it works for you

Set it. Submit it. Get paid.

Your fee

Your fee, your call.

Our 7.5% sits on top of your fee, and studios compare the total. Charge more if your track record earns it.

Candidate confirms

First confirmed wins.

The candidate confirms your submission in Dibs, naming the studio, the role and you. The first confirmed one has dibs.

No chasing

Paid once. No chasing.

Dibs invoices the studio and pays you in full when the 3-month refund window closes. We raise your invoice for you.

04 · Your existing clients

Free for 12 months.

If a studio already works with you, it can invite you in and Dibs is free for that relationship for 12 months. Keep billing them the way you do now.

01

Invited in.

The studio invites you from outside Dibs, or you show signed terms or a hire with them in the last 24 months.

02

Bill as you do now.

Your own terms and your own invoice, for 12 months from when the studio joins Dibs.

03

Same fair rules.

Candidates still confirm in Dibs, so a duplicate CV never turns into an argument.

05 · The ground rules

Good for studios. Good for you.

01

Invited roles only.

You see a brief only when a studio invites you to that role. Briefs are yours alone, so never forward one.

02

Candidates confirm.

Nothing counts until the candidate confirms your submission in Dibs. Unconfirmed ones lapse after 5 working days.

03

Up to 3 a role.

Studios choose who works each role, or go exclusive. No more ten agencies calling the same designer.

04

The studio's pitch.

Use the brief and pitch the studio approved, and respect whether it wants to be named.

05

Stop after a no.

If a candidate isn't interested, that's the end of it. Never ask anyone to hold off confirming someone else.

06

Fair warning.

If something goes wrong, you get the reason in writing and 5 working days to reply before any suspension.
