Dibs is hiring for design studios, starting with architecture. Here is what it costs, who sees what, and how introductions and fees work.

Fairquestions.

For designers.

01

Does Dibs cost me anything?

No. Designers never pay, not to join, not to be introduced, not ever.

02

Who is Dibs for?

We're starting with architects, Part 1 and Part 2 assistants and technologists in the UK. Interior designers are next, then other design disciplines.

03

Who can see my profile?

Nobody, until you say yes. Studios see what you've done, without your name, contact details or current employer. Profiles are never public or searchable.

04

What happens when I tap I'd work here?

That studio, and only that studio, sees your profile, and you see exactly what they'll see first. Your current employer never sees it.

05

How long does my interest last?

12 months. We remind you a month before. After that the studio can ask once more, at most every 6 months, and you can tell it not to.

06

Is my data used to train AI?

Dibs gets better at matching from what happens on Dibs, with your name and contact details removed. Outside AI companies never train on your profile, and we never sell it.

07

Can I pause or leave?

Yes. Pause or delete your profile, or take back any I'd work here, whenever you like.

08

Why do you check the ARB Register?

If you call yourself an architect, we check the ARB Register. It protects you, and the title.

01

What does Dibs cost?

No subscription in early access. Your own applicants are free. I'd work here is 3.75% and Dibs Intros 7.5% of first-year base salary, only when you hire. Recruiters you meet through Dibs charge their fee plus 7.5%. See every price.

02

When do we pay?

Only when someone signs. We invoice when the contract is signed, payable within 14 days. Fees exclude VAT.

03

What if a hire leaves early?

If someone you hired through Dibs resigns, or leaves for performance or conduct, in the first 3 months, you get the fee back. Tell us within 14 days.

04

What about people who already applied to us?

No fee. If someone applied to you, or talked to you about a role, in the last 6 months, there is no fee. Dibs checks your records first.

05

How long does an introduction count?

12 months, in any role, or 6 months after their last interview with you if that's later. Every date is on the candidate card.

06

What does I'd work here cost?

3.75%, only if you hire them within 12 months: £1,687.50 on a £45,000 hire. Free if they came through your own link.

07

Do you charge for graduates?

Not if you paid a Dibs fee in the last 12 months: your next graduate hire is free, one for each paid hire, for graduate roles up to £30,000.

08

Can we keep the recruiters we use now?

Yes. Invite them in, free for 12 months. They bill you the way they do today, and Dibs records who got there first.

09

Who sees our briefs?

Only the recruiters you invite to that role, once they accept our terms. Every brief is logged and can't be downloaded.

04 · For recruiters

For recruiters.

01

How do I join?

Invite only at first, starting with independent architecture recruiters. Ask for an invite.

02

Does Dibs take a cut of my fee?

No. You set your fee and keep all of it. Our 7.5% sits on top of your fee, and studios compare the total, so price it like a split.

03

When do I get paid?

Dibs invoices the studio, holds your fee once they've paid, and pays you in full when the 3-month refund window closes. We raise your invoice for you.

04

What about clients I already work with?

If a studio already works with you, it can invite you in and Dibs is free for that relationship for 12 months.

05

When does a submission count?

When the candidate confirms it in Dibs. Unconfirmed submissions lapse after 5 working days.

06

Who gets the fee if two of us send the same person?

The recruiter whose submission the candidate confirmed first. Every submission is timestamped.

Dibs is a trading name of Architecture Social Limited, registered in England and Wales, company 10430707. It was built by Stephen Drew, who founded Architecture Social.

02

Can Architecture Social's recruiters see my data?

No. They never see a studio's Dibs account, roles or candidates, or a designer's profile unless the designer chooses to work with them separately.
